MUTUAL AID FUNDRAISER

give what you can

[every stitch counts]

We need your help to keep our family safe.

Our blended family of seven resilient humans is facing immense financial burdens as we fight hard to protect our peace. We're working class parents—local small business employees and care workers—pouring every hard-earned dime into essential legal and expert fees. We've self-funded $30k in the past year and anticipate at least $15k more through spring 2026.

During this home stretch, we need help raising funds for our regular survival costs for our family of 7: $3,600/month.

We are exhausted, but our cozy singlewide is bursting at the seams with home cooking & belly laughter.

Your support directly keeps a roof over our heads, lights on, and food on the table while we grind through these fights.

Life has been rocky, but we're mountain people.

A freak hail storm and devastating Hurricane Helene. Back-to-back chronic illness diagnoses. Job losses and unpaid debts owed to us. Targeted threats to our family's peace.

Surviving all this together has proven that anything is possible when people show up authentically. Our tight-knit community has rooted us on, helping us keep a joyful home while we steadfastly advocate for our kids' right to a peaceful, respectful childhood. Now we're humbly asking our broader allies to chip in for our essential living costs during these lean times.

This project is our family's bid at showing up authentically for you all, our extended & growing community: sharing stories & snapshots of this hard, endlessly worth it life together. Reflecting back the light y'all shed on us daily.

We're here to build a safe space for queer families like ours to be supported & celebrated—

Families daring to love bigger than society tells us we should. Families centering intergenerational healing through the presence we bring to our relationships—not the obligations. Families mending & making do, turning wreckage into strength.

Please share this project with good folks in your circles & follow along for updates as we find our footing in this online space.

And if you're able, please give what you can below — every dollar directly fuels shelter, utilities, and sustenance for our family of 7 as we meet the home stretch of this brutal season head on.

While we're creatively problem-solving & picking up extra jobs to make this happen, we're building a little family shop right here -- encouraged by you all. It's a work in progress with kid artwork, homemade crafts, voice note thank-yous, and handwritten cards for every donor.
We're in the thick of it, but stitch by stitch, we'll make this happen together. Thanks so much for being here with us.

Big love,
the Woodsleys
